Seronera Visitor Information Center

The Seronera Visitor Information Centre provides travel information regarding Seronera, situated in the renowned Serengeti National Park. A little tourist village constructed on a Koppie situated in the town of Seronera within Serengeti National Park. It has a welcome hall, movie room, souvenir shops, a café with an outdoor seating area, administrative offices, and various illustrations providing information about the park.

One graphic depicts an elevated pathway constructed around a collection of rocks and trees that illustrates the wildebeest migration. Every location on the pathway signifies a distinct stage in the migration, accompanied by plaques containing information pertinent to that particular stage.

What activities are available  at Seronera Visitor Center

Obtain information regarding Serengeti National Park and the wildebeest migration, including maps available for TSHS 20,000 (2017), lectures, video presentations, or opportunities to engage with fellow tourists. Souvenirs are available for purchase, allowing you to acquire a genuine African artifact to commemorate your safari experience in the Serengeti.

Best time to visit Seronera Visitors Information Center

Any season is suitable, with the initial months being ideal for observing the wildebeest migration. A reliable 4 x 4 vehicle is advisable for visiting the plains during the rainy season from March to July.

Location of the Seronera Visitor Information Centre

The visitor center is situated around 500 meters north of the Seronera Airstrip and an equal distance south of the settlement. It is centrally located inside the Serengeti, a park internationally acclaimed for its expansive grasslands and the wildebeest migration.

How to get to Seronera Information Center

Travel can be undertaken by vehicle or by air, utilizing the Seronera Airstrip followed by hired transportation to the destination. Alternatively, it requires around a 2-hour drive from both Ndabaka and Naabi Hill gates to reach the destination, either a passenger bus, private vehicle, rental car, or tour transport.
