Day 2: Wildlife in Ngorongoro Highlands.

The crater’s many ecosystems encompass acacia forest, marsh, savanna, and riverine vegetation, all of which support a wide array of species. The crater is renowned for its lions, cheetahs, mature bull elephants, Cape buffalo, wildebeest herds, and exceptional avifauna, featuring large flocks of pink flamingos.

It possesses the highest number of hyenas globally, who engage in intense competition with the crater’s predominant lion population for sustenance. With fortune on our side, we might observe a black rhinoceros—a rare prize in northern Tanzania. Twenty-three of them inhabit the crater, but they are notoriously elusive. We will pause for a midday picnic lunch on the crater floor to enable a comprehensive day of wildlife observation. In the late afternoon, we ascend the crater wall and proceed to our lodging for the night.

Day 3: Transfer back to Arusha / Depart

Awaken for a leisurely breakfast before your road departure for Arusha. The journey requires an estimated 3 to 4 hours of driving. Traverse a picturesque path across the undulating Ngorongoro Highlands, while passing by quaint communities en route. We arrive in Arusha in time for lunch and check into the reserved hotel for dining and day room access. Unwind at the hotel while awaiting your shuttle to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your return trip home.
