Detailed Itinerary of 15-Day Gorilla Trekking & Wildebeest Migration Safari Tour

Day 1: Arrival in Uganda

Acquaint yourself with your company driver, who will graciously receive you in Uganda, the Pearl of Africa, and deliver an overview of the key attractions of this 15-day safari. Transportation from Entebbe Airport (EBB) to Kampala for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Journey to Murchison Falls National Park

Embark from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park, situated in northwestern Uganda, a journey of 5 to 6 hours by car.

Travel down the Luweero-Gulu route, pausing at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a two-hour rhino tracking excursion, before proceeding to Masindi for lunch.

Check in at Murchison Falls National Park for an overnight accommodation at the lodge.

Day 3: Comprehensive Safari in Murchison Falls National Park

Following breakfast at the lodge, go in a guided wildlife drive over the northern circuit, which will last 2-3 hours or longer.

In a 4×4 safari vehicle featuring a pop-up roof, anticipate encounters with African bush elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, warthogs, oribis, Rothschild giraffes, hartebeests, avian species, and palm-studded terrains.

Following lunch at the lodge, embark on a 2-3 hour afternoon boat trip.

Observe hippos, sunbathing Nile crocodiles, and many birds while navigating towards the base of Murchison Falls.

Day 4: Journey to Kibale Forest National Park

Commence a 7-8 hour journey to Kibale Forest, renowned as the Primate Capital of the World, for an expedition to trek chimpanzees.

Commence your journey early and pause for lunch at Fort Portal before to arriving at your destination.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Observation & Bigodi Swamp Excursion

Following breakfast, head to the Kanyanchu Visitor Center for a briefing on chimpanzee tracking. Treks in Kibale are organized in groups of six, accompanied by a park guide. In addition to chimpanzees, Kibale National Park hosts 13 primate species, 375 avian species, and several other fauna.

After lunch at the lodge, proceed to Bigodi Swamp for a guided nature walk lasting approximately 2 hours. Here, you will observe a diverse array of monkeys, avians, and other fauna. Subsequently, proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 6: Safari Expedition & Nautical Excursion in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Following an early breakfast, partake in a guided wildlife drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, specifically in the Kasenyi Plains. This 2-3 hour expedition may unveil lions, buffaloes, elephants, leopards (if fortunate), antelopes, birds, and further wildlife.

Post-lunch, embark on a boat trip around the Kazinga Channel to witness hippos, crocodiles, aquatic birds, and various species.

Day 7: Journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a gorilla safari destination situated 4-5 hours from Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking Expedition

Leave your lodge in Bwindi for a briefing on gorilla trekking regulations in Buhoma or an other sector.

Day 9: Transition to Entebbe
