The lake is located between Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha within the Soysambu Conservancy. Soysambu is a private conservancy spanning 48,000 acres, renowned for its diverse wildlife, including over 400 bird species, and boasts one of the greatest game populations in Kenya.
The conservancy hosts zebra, buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffe, leopard, monkeys, waterbuck, gazelle, impala, eland, baboons, hyena, dik-dik, jackal, bat-eared fox, and warthogs, among others. The Conservancy is home to more than 450 documented bird species. The most recognized species of these birds are the Pelican and the Flamingo.
