Masai Mara Entry Fees 2025-2026, The entry fees to Masai Mara were last updated in late 2025, in accordance with the Maasai Mara Management Plan, the Greater Masai Mara Ecosystem Management Plan, and the County Government of Narok Physical and Land Use Development Plan. Park entry costs are no longer determined by the location of the Camp or Lodge within the Reserve.

  • The Narok County Government has announced the Masai Mara Park entry fees for 2025.
  • USD 100 per non-resident adult per day from January 1, 2025, until June 30, 2025.
  • USD 200 per non-resident adult per day, effective from July 1, 2025, and applicable for 2026 to December 31, 2026.

CHILDREN’S FEES from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025: USD 50 per day each child (ages 9 to 17 inclusive at the time of enrolment). Children up to 8 years of age at the time of exit will be granted complimentary admittance.

NOTICE: IMPORTANT UPDATE ON TIMING Effective from July 1, 2023, a ticket validity of twelve (12) hours has been implemented. Guests residing outside the reserve must pay a daily access fee, with the ticket valid from 6 AM to 6 PM. ROAD DEPARTURE: Additionally, all guests leaving the Reserve by road must exit no later than 10 AM. Exiting beyond this time will incur an extra daily entrance cost. FLIGHT DEPARTURE: Guests, whether residing within or outside the reserve, must arrive at the airfield by 10 AM at the latest. An extension beyond this time will incur an extra daily park cost. A 2-hour transit pass will be provided to guests arriving from external facilities (hotels) at the entry gate, enabling them to access the airstrips within the reserve. Payment Methods: Cash payments in US Dollars or Kenya Shillings are accepted at the entry gates, except for the western section of the reserve, specifically the Mara Triangle – Mara Conservancy area, where only cashless transactions are permitted (either Visa/Mastercard or Mpesa Mobile Money). Cashless methods are also accepted at all other gates, including Sekenani and Talek gates. Citizens and residents of Kenya must possess identity and evidence of residence to access the reduced resident rates. Advance payment for ticket acquisition is available via the KAPS firm situated at the KATO office, Longonot Road, Upper Hill, Nairobi.

Prominent lodges and camps situated within the Masai Mara National Reserve (optimally accessed via Sekenani Gate) encompass Sarova Mara Camp, Keekorok Lodge, Governors Camp (main), Ol Moran Camp, Mara Explorer Camp, Mara Leisure Camp, Fig Tree Camp, Mara Intrepids Camp, Mara Simba Lodge, and Sand River Masai Mara Camp. The fee of USD 70 per adult per 24 hours is applicable.

Resident rates apply to individuals from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi. Visitors must provide their National ID (for Kenyan citizens) or Passport with valid Work permits or relevant Visas to verify residence status upon entry into the reserve. Individuals lacking a valid passport must remit the non-resident fees.

Child rates apply to individuals aged 3 to 11 years. Individuals under the age of three are admitted without charge.

Student rates apply exclusively to individuals aged 23 years or younger, sponsored by an accredited educational institution, possessing a valid student ID, and visiting the reserve on a prearranged school-organized trip or for research sanctioned by the ticketing office of the Masai Mara Reserve in Narok. Students are required to secure authorisation to utilise these special rates a minimum of two weeks prior to their visit.
