Volcanoes National Park is home to two groups of habituated Golden Monkeys, with the largest group including approximately 90 individuals.

Visiting this park is devoid of regrets, as it hosts remarkable tourist attractions such as golden monkeys, mountain gorillas, the burial of Dian Fossey, mountain hikes, and tours of Lakes Ruhondo and Burera, among others. The journey commences and concludes in Kigali.

Day 1: Collection from Kigali and transfer to Volcanoes National Park for the Golden Monkey Tracking Tour.

Tracking golden monkeys commences with a briefing at the park headquarters at approximately 7:30 AM, necessitating our safari driver-guide to get you from your hotel or residence and depart from Kigali at 4:30 AM for the Volcanoes National Park. Following the briefing, if you possess substantial luggage, you may engage a porter to assist with its transport for a nominal fee. Tracking golden monkeys requires less time (about one hour) and is less physically demanding than gorilla trekking. Subsequently, participants will travel back to the starting site and be transferred to Kigali city, either to their accommodation or the airport for aircraft departure.
